New whisky bar opens at Trump's MacLeod House & Lodge

Trump International's luxury MacLeod House & Lodge on the Menie Estate in Aberdeenshire has added a specialist whisky bar to its offering, showcasing an extensive range of Scotch and international malts.

The new whisky bar is situated in the heart of the 16-bedroom development, which has been awarded five stars from VisitScotland, and is open to residents and non-residents.

A central feature of the bar is bespoke handmade cabinetry, displaying the "most valuable and exquisite bottles" behind decorative brass grilles.

Trump International worked with industry experts including Scotch whisky specialists Gordon & MacPhail to create a collection that runs the gamut of well known, traditional Scottish brands to rare and highly sought after marques.

Designed to be intimate and luxurious, the bar is furnished in dark walnut with luxurious upholstery. A resident whisky connoisseur is on hand to advise visitors. Cocktails, fine wines and other interesting spirits are also available.

Trump International Golf Links Scotland executive vice president Sarah Malone said: "Our new Whisky Bar is a great addition to our existing facilities and we look forward to launching an exclusive Whisky Membership, giving whisky lovers even more access to rare bottles, new releases and special events in the very near feature."
