Nigel Boschetti appointed executive chef at Grosvenor House
Nigel Boschetti has been appointed as the new executive chef at the Grosvenor House, a JW Marriott Hotel. He will take up the position on 1 March 2010.
Currently executive chef at the four star 416-bedroom Lancaster London hotel, Boschetti said that he is looking forward to the challenge of moving to a larger five-star property.
"Grosvenor House has a busier food and beverage operation that turns over £28-29m a year, which is about double the volume at the Lancaster," he said.
Boschetti will be responsible for a brigade of 75 chefs. He will look after the food service in the Bordeaux restaurant - where a new food concept is soon to be introduced - the Park Room where afternoon tea is served, The Great Room which can accommodate up to 1,800 covers, the Ballroom and room service for 494 bedrooms.
"The move is very much a natural career progression," said Boschetti who has been at the Lancaster London for five years and previously worked at the Millennium Gloucester hotel, Simpsons-in-the-Strand, Payne & Gunter and Amberley Castle in West Sussex.
Boschetti won the Banqueting Chef award last year in the Craft Guild of Chefs Awards.
