Nobu Hotel Shoreditch launches Nobu Cafe

Nobu Hotel Shoreditch has launched a new lobby café, offering what it claims to be London's only Kinto hand brew Japanese filter coffee along with a matcha bar and an Asian-inspired afternoon tea.

The 100-cover café, set in the lobby of the 148-bedroom east London hotel, will serve a selection of pastries and sweets alongside a "Nobu Bites" menu of hot and cold plates adapted from some of the restaurant's most popular dishes.

Menu highlights include: wagyu sliders, tofu bun, rock shrimp nori buns, korobuta pork belly and tonkatsu sando.

The Kinto coffee, a pour-over method that features a sustainable stainless steel filter that allows more of the coffees natural oils to infuse in the cup, will be offered alongside slow drip cold brew coffee and an extensive range of Ikaati artisanal whole leaf teas. These will be joined by a selection of speciality lattes, fresh pressed juices and iced teas.

Afternoon tea, served daily from 12pm-5pm, will feature chicken karage, anticucho den miso and pickled cucumber on sourdough, crilled tofu, butter lettuce and shiso pesto on shokupan and yuzu and kumquat pound cake.

Come evening, the café will offer a beverage menu with wine, beer alongside and Japanese-inspired, tea-based cocktails.
