Norfolk hotel sold to Swallow

The Lodge hotel at Old Hunstanton, Norfolk, has been sold to Swallow hotels for about £1.3m.

The sale completed in May and was not advertised or marketed prior to the deal.

Alan Crowest, managing director of Britannia Business Sales, who arranged the sale, said: "The Lodge hotel has built up an enviable reputation over many years both for the standard of comfort and its excellent restaurant and food. There is always a demand for good quality accommodation along the north Norfolk coast."

Owners Tony and Carol Best are now retiring, having run the hotel for 15 years.
