Oliver Staas joins Park Inn Heathrow as general manager
Oliver Staas is the new general manager at the 881-bedroom Park Inn Heathrow hotel. Staas joins from the Radisson SAS hotel at Frankfurt Airport, where he was general manager for almost four years.
During the earlier years of his career in hospitality Staas worked in numerous hotels in Europe, the USA and in Seoul, South Korea, working up through the ranks as a chef, waiter and then food and beverage manager, before joining the Radisson SAS hotel, Hamburg, in 1996 as executive assistant manager.
Staas moved to Latvia in early 1997, where he took on his first general manager position at the Radisson SAS Dauvaga hotel, Riga. Three years later he moved to Russia as general manager of the Radisson SAS Slavyanskaya hotel in Moscow.
In 2001, Staas was promoted to regional director for Russia, the Baltics, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine, while also being general manager at the Radisson SAS Royal hotel, St Petersburg. In 2004, Staas moved to the UK for the first time as pre-opening general manager of the Radisson SAS Hotel London Stansted Airport.
