Online tool helps businesses collect TripAdvisor reviews from own websites
Online reviews site TripAdvisor has announced the launch of a free online tool that enables hotel and restaurant owners to collect reviews and opinions through their own websites to be published on TripAdvisor.
The new tool gives travellers the ability to write a review just as they would on TripAdvisor, but without leaving the hotel or restaurant's website.
Christine Petersen, president of TripAdvisor for Business, said that the facility helped businesses collect reviews and opinions from their own websites and make the feedback available to the wider community of TripAdvisor travellers.
"Research shows that 81% of travellers find user reviews important when determining which hotel to stay at, and nearly half won't book a property if it doesn't have reviews on sites like TripAdvisor," Petersen added.
Rebecca Bradley, owner of Heacham House in Norfolk, said: "Many of our guests have told us that they booked with us after reading our great reviews on TripAdvisor. This has helped our fledgling business grow. The new tool, which was easy to install on our site, will make it simpler for guests to write a review about our property."
Business owners can download the Full Review Form tool, which supports 21 languages, via the TripAdvisor Widget Centre at www.tripadvisor.co.uk/widgets.
