Openings: Metropolitan by Como
A top-to-toe redesign of the Metropolitan by Como hotel in London was completed at the end of September. The changes mark a shift away from the hotel's hedonistic past towards a growing emphasis on wellbeing, technology and comfort. Opened in 1997, the ‘Met', as it became known, was designed by Keith Hobbs of United Design. Linzi Coppick of Forme Partnership, who previously worked with Hobbs, was responsibly for the recent redesign and has introduced natural hues and textures, including the use of American walnut, sycamore and pale and dark timbers.
