Openings this week: the Pig at Combe, Ahi Poké, the Grove of Narberth, the Roebuck Inn and more

A look at the latest restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars to open their doors

The Pig at Combe

Nestled in Devon's Otter Valley, the newly opened Pig at Combe has turned the traditional hotel order on its head, following the transformation of the Grade I-listed Elizabethan manor house from Combe House hotel. The entrance has been converted into a bar with oversized sofas and a fireplace, while the formal dining spaces have wooden floors and restored shutters. Two potting sheds have been transformed into spa treatment rooms, while the Georgian stable block now contains the quirky Horse Yard bedrooms, which retain many of the original stable features. What produce is not grown in the hotel's three walled gardens is sourced from within a 25-mile radius. Owned and operated by Home Grown Hotels, the property joins sister hotels in the New Forest, near Bath, in Studland, Dorset and Southampton.
