Optimum takes over management of Perthshire hotel
Optimum Hotel Management has added the 32-bedroom Dunalastair hotel in Perthshire to its luxury portfolio of managed hotels.
Optimum was awarded the long-term management contract for the hotel last month. The property is set to reopen on 1 May following a £5m, four-year refurbishment to transform it into a luxury boutique hotel.
Located in the village square of Kinloch Rannoch, on the edge of Loch Rannoch, the hotel is currently recruiting for all positions including general manager and the rest of the senior management team.
Luxury property developer Henley Homes, which acquired Dunalastair as its first hotel in 2012, intends to add more hotels in the coming years.
The hotel will include a fine-dining restaurant in a relaxed atmosphere "aiming for two to three AA rosettes". A spokesperson confirmed a chef is on board, but would not divulge further details.
Optimum also manages the Manor Weston in Oxfordshire, Lion Quays in Shropshire, and the Belmont hotel in Leicestershire.
