Orient-Express Hotels appoints new head of finance

White was vice-president of hotels for Africa, Australia and South America at the company, and prior to this spent seven years as financial controller at the group.

Struthers, who held his position since April 2000, is leaving to join a private equity group in California.

Orient-Express president Simon Sherwood said: "I congratulate Paul White on his new role. The combination of his financial background and his line experience both as hotel manager and vice-president make him an ideal candidate for the role."

The changeover will be officially completed during the middle of next month.
