Paramount trio strengthen management team
Paramount hotels has bolstered its executive team with three new appointments.
Charles Prew, chief executive officer of Paramount owner, Dawnay Shore Hotels, announced Peter Procopis, Heiko Figge and Manju Goel would be joining Paramount as finance director, chief operating officer and marketing director, respectively.
Procopis is an accountant by trade and has moved from UBS Global Asset management, where he worked in real estate fund management and advised on hotel strategy. He has also worked for Arthur Andserson and Strategic Hotel Capital in Chicago.
Figge has 15 years of senior management experience at Thistle Hotels as well as InterContinetal and Forte Hotels in London. He has joined from Marriott hotels where he held executive roles for six years.
Goel was sales and marketing director for Macdonald Hotels and has also worked for Forte and InterContinental Hotels.
Prew said: "Procopis, Figge and Goel now have the chance to contribute to the success of one of the fastest growing hotel groups in the country."
Paramount currently has 17 four- and five-star hotels in the UK including the Carlton hotel in Edinburgh, the Majestic in Harrogate and the Imperial in Blackpool.
