Pentahotels opens in Inverness

German group Pentahotels has moved into Scotland with the opening of a 90-bedroom property in Inverness.

It is Pentahotels sixth property in the UK, joining hotels in Birmingham, Derby, Ipswich, Reading and Warrington.

Alastair Thomann, managing director of Pentahotels Europe, said: "We have always wanted a presence in Scotland as we believe the people, and the visitors, know what they want when they travel.

"Our concept is new and insists on a hotel stay which is relaxed, oozing a casual chic that is both welcoming and comfortable."

Pentahotels currently has 25 hotels in Europe and Asia and aims to have 80 properties in operation or under development by 2020.
