Stewart Woodeson has been appointed general manager at the three-star, 83-bedroom Yorkshire hotel in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. He moves from the Sporting Lodge Inn, Middlesbrough, where he was general manager.

The 93-bedroom Leyland hotel, Lancashire, has appointed Robert Cooke as its new deputy general manager. He joins from the four-star Crowne Plaza Birmingham City where he was guest relations manager.

Robert Tether has been appointed general manager of the 30-bedroom Melville Castle hotel, Edinburgh. He moves from the 40-bedroom Leeming House hotel in Cumbria, where he was general manager.

Frankie & Benny's in Glasgow Fort shopping centre has appointed Jennifer Hibbitt as general manager. She moves from the Frankie & Benny's restaurant in South Queensferry, Edinburgh, where she was also general manager. Conor O'Leary has been appointed restaurant manager at the Langham hotel in London. He moves from the Bentley Kempinski hotel in London, where he was the opening restaurants and bars manager. Nuria Frau-Trüllen has been made head sommelier at the Langham hotel in London. She joins from Jaan restaurant at Swissotel, London, where she was head sommelier. ### Plus… Mark Buley has been appointed food development manager for RHM Foodservice. He joins the company after working for three years as food development executive chef for Scottish & Newcastle. Andrew O'Keeffe has been appointed partner in the banking and finance division of London law firm Maxwell Batley. He has extensive experience in hotel financing and joins the company from Simmons and Simmons, where he was a senior assistant solicitor in the banking and finance group. O'Briens Irish Sandwich Bars has appointed Nick Young as UK managing director. He previously worked in operations and brand development for Bass and Scottish & Newcastle.
