Hilton UK & Ireland have appointed Steve James as head of human resources. He was previously HR partner with consultancy Deloitte.

Pierre Beswick has been appointed general manager of the Sands at Grace Bay resort in the Turks & Caicos islands. He previously worked as manager of the Caves hotel in Jamaica. Manchester's Great John Street hotel has appointed Wendy Marston as group sales director. She previously worked as a sales consultant at the Lowry hotel, also in Manchester.

has been appointed recreation manager at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi beach resort, Dubai, UAE.
