Carol Shearman has moved to the four-star, 46-bedroom Hartwell House hotel near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, as sales and marketing manager. Carol was previously in charge of sales and marketing at the Dansfield House Hotel and Spa in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. Kirsten Hoddle has joined Moat House Hotels as leisure product manager. She formerly worked as marketing communications manager for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. The new Radisson SAS hotel in Belfast has made several appointments for its opening in August. Joining the 120-bedroom hotel as operations manager is Carina Williamson, who previously opened the Radisson SAS Hotel Limerick. Jo-Anne Crossley, the new sales manager, was formerly events manager at the Hastings Europa Hotel in Belfast. The new executive housekeeper of the Radisson SAS Hotel Belfast is Anika Meyer, who held the same role at the Radisson SAS Hotel Letterkenny, County Donegal. Lynsey Mark has joined as sales co-ordinator, from Belfast's Tullyglass House hotel in Ballymena, County Antrim, where she was receptionist. Moving from the Holiday Inn Belfast to the city's Radisson SAS hotel are Sarah Milligan and Stephen McCartney. New revenue manager Sarah has left her role as reservations manager, while Stephen becomes maintenance manager, the same role he held before. The Best Western consortium has appointed a new chairman, deputy chairman and three regional directors to its board. Former deputy chairman Russell Imrie has stepped into the role of chairman, following the move of Alan Long to vice chairman of Best Western Europe. Rhys Roberts, previously regional chairman for the South-west, has become deputy chairman. Best Western's three new regional directors are: June Nelsey, owner of the Monkbar Hotel in York, who will look after the North-east; Stuart Shepherd, owner of the Shrubbery Hotel in Ilminster, Somerset, who will take over the South-west region; and Ken Millar, from the Ewington Hotel in Glasgow, who heads up Scotland. ### Restaurants Frankie & Benny's has appointed Andrew Howlett general manager to open its new 149-seat restaurant in Portsmouth, Hampshire. For the past year Andrew has been managing the American and Italian-style chain's restaurant in Poole, Dorset. ### Plus… JB Event Recruitment has welcomed Sandra Baldwin to lead its hotels and venues division. Prior to taking up her new post, Sandra did some freelance work. Before that, she worked for Marston Hotels for five years as national corporate sales manager.
