Peter Manby appointed revenue director of Travelodge
Budget group Travelodge has appointed Peter Manby as its new revenue director.
Manby joins from Rex Restaurant Associates, where he was chief operating officer for just five months. He previously worked for Mint Hotels as chief operating officer, as well as for Marriott as operations director, for Hilton Worldwide as director of revenue for the UK, and for the De Vere Group as operations director.
In his new role, Manby will be responsible for revenue management strategies, forecasting and creating bespoke pricing models based upon future demand forecasts for Travelodge, which currently operates more than 500 hotels.
Travelodge chief executive Grant Hearn said he was delighted to welcome Manby to the company. "Peter is a highly regarded commercial leader across the hotel and hospitality sector. His valuable knowledge and expertise within the industry will play a fundamental role in helping us to create a world-class revenue system and team."
Meanwhile, Manby said he was thrilled to be joining the group. "I am passionate about revenue management and very excited to be part of a company that is truly changing the way hotels conduct business, face competition and drive revenue channels that provide the best value to consumers."
Manby's appointment will be effective from 6 June 2012.
