Preferred Hotel Group ups its family-friendly offer
The Preferred Hotel Group - the sales, marketing and distribution consortium for independent hotels and resorts - has launched a family-focused offering for a number of its properties.
Around 200 hotels worldwide within the Preferred Family collection of properties have all been evaluated according to the specific age groups they cater for and the services they offer. Each has received a certification and are listed on a new website, www.PreferredFamily.com.
Lindsey Ueberroth, president of the Preferred Hotel Group, said that family travel was growing globally and not just to destinations one would typically associate with a family holiday. "Preferred Family cuts through the ordinary, cookie-cutter family offerings and provides the necessary tools to choose a hotel or resort that will exceed family-friendly expectations, promising experiences that will become everlasting memories."
Currently, five of the 17 UK members of the consortium have been certified as being a Preferred Family hotel - four in London, including Chancery Court, the Hempel, the Lanesborough and the Royal Horseguards, as well as Cameron House on Loch Lomond.
Young guests at Chancery Court are encouraged to take part in a treasure hunt at the at the hotel with all those who complete it being presented with a teddy bear, while an afternoon tea served at the Royal Horseguards features such kiddie delights as sparkly fairy cakes and traffic light fruit kebabs.
The Preferred Hotel Group features a total of 650 hotels and resorts across six brands in 85 countries.
