Preston buyer for Bolton hotel

David Buckler from Preston has bought Highgrove guesthouse, which occupies a prominent position on the Manchester Road just two minutes from Bolton town centre.

The guesthouse, which was rebuilt as part of a parade of properties in 1997, offers 10 en-suite bedrooms and a 14-seat breakfast room.

It has planning permission for a five-room extension to the rear that could be used as owners' accommodation.

The Manchester office of Christie + Co sold the freehold off a guide price of £285,000 on behalf of Jonathan and Claire Templeman, who are now seeking a larger property in the south.
