Preston townhouse hotel sells off £825,000 guide price

An Edwardian townhouse hotel in Preston has been sold off a guide price of £825,000.

The Park hotel at Ashton on Ribble is located near the city centre with easy access to the M6 and M55 motorways.

The red-brick Edwardian property with modern extensions carries an AA five diamond-rating for its bedrooms and its 36-seat restaurant has been awarded two AA rosettes.

The 16 en-suite bedrooms can sleep 26 guest and include two executive rooms.

As well as the restaurant, it offers a 22-seat lounge bar, an adjoining 15-seat deck terrace, and a syndicate room for 11.

New owner Louise Pettyt has clocked up 30 years in the catering and hospitality trade, ranging from corporate catering and an Australian sushi bar to a 15-bedroom hotel in Manchester.

The Manchester office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the freehold on behalf of Derek and Nicola Cheetham.
