Cheshire-based Prima Hotels has taken on Ernst Van Zyl as group food and beverage manager.
He was previously group executive chef for the group.
Van Zyl will work with the individual hotels including the Royal Terrace in Edinburgh, Nunsmere Hall in Cheshire, and Matfen Hall near Newcastle.
He has also gained experience in a number of two-rosette restaurants and has worked for Hilton Hotels at Manchester Airport, Belfast and London Kensington.
In 2005, he joined the Stanneylands Hotel as head chef and went on to become group executive chef two years later.
