Property agency Bettesworths promotes Paul Bettesworth to director

Chartered surveyor and property agency Bettesworths has made 28-year-old Paul Bettesworth (above) director of the company founded in 1943 by his grandparents, Bernard and Maureen Bettesworth.

Paul Bettesworth, a chartered surveyor, joined the Torquay-based family business three years ago, after obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Land Management from Reading University.

He joins his father Barney, his uncle Paddy and his brother Matt, who is managing director. Also on the board is Stephen Lofthouse, a chartered surveyor who has been Paul Bettesworth's mentor.

Chartered surveyor Richard Allen (left) also joined the firm at the start of July.
