Property company Dominvs Investments intends to inject "substantial investment" into the Hotelier Group - a portfolio of three hotels in the north of England and Scotland which it has acquired for an undisclosed sum.

The hotels involved all operate under the Aston brand and include properties in Darlington (80-bedroom), Sheffield (78-bedrooms) and Dumfries (71-bedrooms). They all feature a brasserie and Bar 39.

Preetpal Ahluwalia, director of Dominvs Investments said: "We have invested over £100m since 2012 on property and are delighted with our latest acquisition of the Hotelier Group which is a respected and established brand within the business, leisure and tourism industry.

"We are making a substantial investment in the hotels within a short timeframe including refurbishing all properties, upgrading conference facilities and introducing leisure facilities.

"The management team will remain in place and oversee ambitious growth plans to support our aim of a further hotel and property acquisitions over the next 18 months."
