QHotels makes sixth purchase
It has acquired the Forest Pines Golf and Country Club in North Lincolnshire for an undisclosed sum.
The four-star hotel, which is set in 190 acres near Junction Four of the M180, offers leisure, beauty and conference facilities along with a 27-hole Championship golf course, with an option to add another nine holes.
QHotels will be seeking planning permission for a £7.5m project to add a new conference centre, 50 bedrooms and refurbish the existing bedrooms.
The group, which plans to have 10 properties by the end of the year, announced a £40m refurbishment of its other hotels earlier this month.
It will spend £3m on the Park Royal in Stretton, Cheshire; £6m on Chesford Grange in Kenilworth, Warwickshire; £7.5m on Norton Manor in Sutton Scotney, Hampshire; £10m on the Queens in Leeds; and £13m on the Midland in Manchester.
