Racehorse named in tribute to loyal concierge

A regular guest at a well-known Knightsbridge hotel has named his thoroughbred racehorse after the hotel's long-standing concierge, Patrick.

The unnamed regular, who referred to the Lowndes hotel as a "second home for the past 20 years", made the gesture in gratitude for Patrick Coldrick's 32 years of service at the hotel.

The hotel is undergoing refurbishment due to be completed in October. Until then, Patrick - the concierge, not the horse - can be found working across the road at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower.
