Radisson Blu Glasgow appoints Denis MacCann as GM

The Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow has appointed Denis MacCann as new general manager.

Previously general manager of the Hotel Indigo in Glasgow, MacCann is co-chair of the Greater Glasgow Hotels Association (GGHA), and has also worked in general manager roles at the Forte Crest hotel in Glasgow, the East Kilbride Hilton, the Aberdeen Treetops Hilton, and then at Prima Hotels.

He also owned and operated his own fast food franchise, and has also previously launched two franchised hotel units and a city-centre restaurant.

He began his career in the Caribbean at the Curacao Caribbean Hotel and Casino, and also worked as food and beverage director at La Belle Creole in the French West Indies.

The hotel is part of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, which spans over 1,350 hotels across more than 105 countries worldwide. Its other brands include Radisson, Park Plaza, and Park Inn by Radisson.

Malcolm Rann, regional director of Radisson Blu UK, said: "We are delighted that Denis is joining us as general manager in Glasgow. I'm confident that the Radisson Blu Hotel Glasgow will go from strength to strength under Denis's leadership."
