Ramada Hotel in Loughborough sold for £2m

The 78-bedroom Ramada Hotel in Loughborough, Leicestershire has been sold by BV Hotels Loughborough to Shiventures for £2m.

The city centre hotel has a 65-seat restaurant and conference facilities for up to 150 people. BV Hotels bought it from Jarvis Hotels for nearly £4m in 2005.

Jonathan Wren, director of selling agent Colliers International said: "The Ramada has been operated since 2000 by experienced hoteliers who, during their period of ownership, invested considerable time and money undertaking a rolling refurbishment of the facilities and establishing an excellent reputation within the Ramada family of hotels.

"The sale of the Ramada Hotel in Loughborough is further evidence of the improving hotel market. With the major banks once again looking to invest into the sector we are anticipating a busy 2016."
