Ramside Hall opens spa as part of £16m investment

Ramside Hall hotel and golf club, on the outskirts of Durham, has opened a luxury spa as the final stage of a £16m investment.

The Spa at Ramside has created around 60 jobs and follows on from the creation of a second championship golf course in 2014 and a new wing of 47 bedrooms, which opened earlier this year.

The 32,500sq ft spa also includes a fitness suite, which will offer a programme of more than 40 classes every week, 14 treatment rooms, a Rasul mud chamber and a beauty snug.

Jill Russell, spa director, said: "The interest we have already had in the spa has been phenomenal. We are so excited to be able to finally show off what is undoubtedly going to be one of the finest spas in the country."
