Record February performance in London hotels – thanks to rugby and fashion

Rugby and fashion events helped drive a record high performance across London hotels during February, according to preliminary figures from data company STR.

Meanwhile, demand for rooms increased by 3.2%, outstripping the 2.6% supply in new supply.

STR analysts said that the Six Nations rugby match on 10 February and London Fashion Week, from 14 to 19 February, helped boost the figures.

STR will release its full February results later this month.
