Redesdale Arms hotel changes hands

Expanding group Old Amersham Hotels has snapped up the three-AA-star, 34-bedroom Redesdale Arms hotel in Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire, off a sale price of £3.75m.

Dating back to 1650, Redesdale Arms has been sold by Redesdale Arms Ltd, whose director Charmian Bourton is now retiring.

The hotel, which has planning permission for an additional three bedrooms, has a one-AA-rosette restaurant and bar.

It joins Old Amersham Hotels' growing portfolio, which includes the 34-bedroom Kings Arms hotel and function venue Kings Chapel in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, the 38-bedroom Crown Inn in Amersham, and the 12-bedroom Greyhound Inn in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire.

Christie + Co handled the sale of the property.
