Revpar grows by 5% at London hotels
London hotels grew revenue per available room (revpar) by 5.1% in the week ending 12 August, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.
Revpar increased to £106.68, up from £101.51 during the equivalent week of 2006.
A 2.5 percentage point drop in occupancy to 84.6% was offset by an 8.1% rise in average room rate to £126.09, compared with £116.60 in the corresponding week of 2006.
