Revpar grows by nearly 5% at London hotels
London hotels boosted revenue per available room (revpar) by 4.45% in the week ending 6 July, according to figures from hospitality research company STR Global.
Revpar increased to £140, up from £134.03 during the equivalent week of 2007.
Occupancy declined by 2.59 percentage points to 86.58% but average room rate rose by 7.58% to £161.70 compared with £150.31 in the corresponding week of 2007.
STR Global is a new company formed from the merger of leading hospitality research firms Smith Travel Research (STR), Deloitte's HotelBenchmark and The Bench.
