Richard Cameron appointed as executive chef of Marwell House, Hampshire
Marwell Hotel in Hampshire has appointed Richard Cameron as executive chef to oversee its food and beverage operation.
Cameron joins the 68-bedroom hotel in Winchester, from Rowhill Grange Hotel and Spa in Kent, where he was executive chef and held three AA rosettes. He was previously head chef at the Langham Hotel in London.
As part of his remit at the Marwell Hotel, Cameron will oversee the Dining Room, where he will serve a menu of British and European flavours with a focus on seasonal local ingredients. He will also relaunch the hotel's bar menu, featuring Asian tapas dishes.
Commenting on his appointment, Cameron said: "Marwell Hotel provides such a fantastic opportunity for me to take a blank canvas and really make my mark. The Bastian family, who own the hotel, have built a strong offering for people looking for a woodland escape."
Manager Oliver Bastian added: "We are delighted to have found someone who shares our passion and enthusiasm for food. I am sure that this will help put Marwell on the map as a venue with a top quality dining offering. Richard's ideas, flavours, creativity and expertise is exactly what we have been looking for and we look forward to our guests enjoying this too."
