Richard Picard-Edwards has announced he is to leave his position as executive head chef of the Michelin-starred Lords of the Manor hotel in Gloucestershire in December.
Picard-Edwards, who has held the position since February 2013 at the three-AA-rosette, four-red-AA-star property, is leaving for personal reasons. He and his family will be moving to France.
Paul Nicholson, who recently joined the hotel as a senior sous chef, has been appointed interim head chef while a search for a replacement takes place. Nicholson was previously head chef at the three-AA-rosette Dial House hotel in nearby Bourton-on-the-Water.
The hotel was also recently named AA Inspectors' Choice Country House Hotel.
Michael Obray, general manager of the hotel, said: "We are very sad that Richard is leaving Lords and we are grateful for all the culinary achievements gained during his tenure. We wish Richard and his family all the very best for their new life in France."
