Robbie Mitchell named as new bar manager at Hotel Missoni, Edinburgh

Edinburgh's Hotel Missoni has hired Robbie Mitchell as its new bar manager. Mitchell will manage the team at the five-star hotel's Bar Missoni, as well as looking after its Italian restaurant, Cucina.

He started his management career with the Montpelier Group, before moving to the role of director/partner at Edinburgh bar Amicus Apple. He has also worked in roles across a range of bars, boutique hotels and larger hotels, as well as working alongside Roy Brett, Rick Stein and Gary Rhodes.

Mitchell said: "It's great to be working within such a prestigious and busy hotel. We have a great team on board who all share a passion for delivering the highest level of customer service as well as a determination to create the ultimate dining and drinking experience for guests."

Hotel Missoni, on the corner of George IV Bridge and the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, is the first of Italian fashion label Missoni's interior-designed hotels. Further openings of five-star hotels are planned in Kuwait, Cape Town, Brazil and Oman.
