Rowton Hall sold to hotel group Anderbury

Cheshire hotel and spa Rowton Hall has been sold to hotel group Anderbury off an asking price of £6.25m.

The four AA-star hotel comprises 40-bedrooms, a restaurant, luxury spa and conference and banqueting facilities.

It was sold by the Wigginton family after they decided to retire.

New owner Anderbury also owns the St George hotel in Llandudno and Hatherley Manor hotel & spa in Gloucestershire.

Tony Burns, director of the independent hotel group said: "This is an exciting time for our group, Rowton Hall is a perfect fit for us as their emphasis on providing a quality, personal service perfectly reflects our focus on providing guests with a luxurious and memorable hotel experience."

Rowton Hall presents the opportunity to add further bedrooms, subject to planning permission, according to Christie & Co, which handled the sale.
