Scarborough hotel and cottage complex is sold
The Wrea Head Country Cottages and hotel complex near Scarborough has been sold off a guide price of £1.65m.
It is set in 3.5 acres of gardens and paddocks in the village of Scalby and is near the North Yorkshire Heritage Coastline and within easy reach of Scarborough Castle, Flamingoland and the North Yorks Moors National Park.
Wrea Head House itself is a five- to six-bedroom house of Victorian origin that is suitable for use as a luxury family home, owners' residence or extra letting accommodation.
The eight self-catering country cottages will sleep around 44 guests in total and all have cot facilities.
A purpose-built leisure centre that opened in 1995 offers an 11-metre heated swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a whirlpool spa and a sauna.
Knight Frank's hotels and leisure team in Leeds sold the freehold to John and Joy Scales and Robert and Tracey Lawty on behalf of Steve and Sue Marshall.
