Search on for Hotelier of the Year
The search is now on for Caterer's 2008 Hotelier of the Year.
Now in its 26th year, the award, sponsored by Louis Jadot, is given to an individual displaying the management, leadership and communications skills required to manage a hotel at the highest level of excellence, along with a commitment to employees and the industry at large.
This year the presentation of the Hotelier of the Year award takes place at the Hotel Cateys, a perfect backdrop to celebrate the very best in the hotel industry.
Last year's winner Michael Gray said he was "overwhelmed" by the response from the industry when he was crowned top hotelier in the country
"It was a huge honour to be secretly recognised for this award by people I respect so much in our industry", Gray said.
Gray, who is general manager of The Churchill, Hyatt Regency London also sits on the People 1st Sector Skills council and acts as chairman of the Springboard London Advisory Board.
Gray, who is a judge this year for the competition, said he would be looking for a successor with "a relentless and dogged passion for the attention to detail", adding it had to be someone that loved the industry and went above and beyond their day-to-day job to support it.
