Sebastian Moritz becomes director of residences at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park

The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, has recruited Sebastian Moritz as director of residences.

Originally from Germany, Moritz has more than 12 years of luxury hotel experience in senior management roles with several hotel companies including Fairmont Hotels and Resorts and InterContinental, plus the Hazelton hotel and private residences in Toronto.

Most recently, he was resident manager at Shangri-La's Villingili resort and spa in the Maldives.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has branded and will manage the 85 luxury apartments at the development known as One Hyde Park, adjacent to its Knightsbridge hotel.

Owners of the properties will be able to use all the services of the neighbouring hotel.
