The 75-bedroom Avon Gorge hotel will join the Hotel du Vin brand in spring 2018, following the completion of an extensive renovation of the property in Clifton, Bristol.
The announcement of the rebrand comes two years after the hotel was one of four properties acquired by Frasers Hospitality, owner of the Hotel du Vin and sister brand Malmaison, from Swire Properties Hotels Holdings in a £36.1m deal.
Set to be renamed as the Avon Gorge by Hotel du Vin, the property will become the second Hotel du Vin in Bristol, joining a sister property in the city centre.
Josie Simcox has been appointed to head the hotel as general manager from the same position at the Malmaison London.
The new look for the hotel was said to reflect "the quirky British humour" which will give bedrooms "a contemporary yet classic feel".
The other three hotels bought from Swire have already been rebranded. The Magdalen Chapter in Exeter has also become a Hotel du Vin, while the Montpellier Chapter in Cheltenham and the Hotel Seattle in Brighton have both joined the Malmaison brand.
The Avon Gorge by Hotel du Vin will mark the 18th property for the brand, with the 19th opening in Stratford-upon-Avon, also next spring.
