Seven new openings for Jurys Doyle hotels
Jurys Doyle Hotel Group is to open seven new sites by 2007, it said today
Five new three-star Jurys Inns are destined for the UK, including sites in Milton Keynes, Brighton and Liverpool.
Dublin will also receive another four-star hotel in the autumn of this year and the company is redeveloping its Jurys Cork hotel for the second half of 2006.
The planned openings and redevelopment will add 1,800 bedrooms to the Irish-based group's estate, which also includes hotels in Washington DC and Boston, USA.
The announcement was made alongside robust year-end results to 31 December 2004. Strong trading in the second half of 2004 helped group turnover to €284.49m (£195.3m), an increase of 12% year-on-year.
Pre-tax profit increased by 7% to €45.29m (£31m), compared with €42.24m (£29m) a year earlier.
The group pocketed €193m (£132.5m) from the sale of its four-star Limerick hotel, its Jurys Green Isle and Jurys Tara hotels during the financial year.
