London's Savoy hotel launches its first themed suite as part of its £30m-plus refurbishment programme this week. Designed by Richmond International, the Royal Opera House Suite is the first of five themed suites and features a Bose sound system and archive prints of the eponymous venue in the city's Covent Garden.

A two-night opera package includes tickets to a Royal Opera House performance, a Theatre Tea in the Thames Foyer, traditional English breakfasts, and a gourmet candlelit dinner in the suite itself, created by matre chef Patrice Martineau. Prices run from £2,999 for two people for two nights.
