Six new hotels for Best Western
Six new hotels, with a total of nearly 300 bedrooms, have joined the Best Western consortium in recent months.
They include Best Western's first apartment hotel in Ealing, West London, and the 81-bedroom Best Western Dover Marina, which closed a year ago for a major renovation.
Keith Pope, director of Best Western, said that for independent hoteliers still experiencing a challenging time, it made sense to join a brand such as Best Western to market their services.
"Best Western's profile has risen sharply over the past year since our Hotels with Personality launch and this has manifested itself in big increases in sales volume going through Best Western to its member hotels," he said.
"This is an obvious attraction for new members especially given Best Western's operating system - we provide the extensive marketing support of a huge global hotel brand combined with the freedom for owners to run their businesses as they want, meaning they can preserve the personality of the hotel they have created."
The new Best Western hotels are the Lancashire Manor Houte, Skelmersdale; Summerhill Hotel & Suites, Aberdeen; Maitrise Suites Apartment Hotel, Ealing, West London; Dover Marina Hotel & Spa, Dover; Cheltenham Regency Hotel, Cheltenham; and Royal Adelaide Hotel, Windsor.
Best Western currently has more than 270 three- and four-star hotels, with over 15,000 bedrooms in the UK.
