Six redundancies at Hey Green hotel after administration

Six staff have been made redundant after the Hey Green hotel in Marsden, West Yorkshire, went into administration.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>

BDO business restructuring partners were appointed to act as joint administrators after the business was hit by tough trading conditions.

The 18th century hotel has 13 acres of private grounds. It employs 29 people, but six have been made redundant. The hotel continues to trade.

Dermot Power, BDO business restructuring partner said: "Unfortunately the economic climate and difficult trading conditions have significantly affected the company. However, we are hopeful of achieving a sale of the hotel and it will continue to operate whilst all opportunities are explored.

"It is business as usual for the Hey Green hotel. We would advise existing customers seeking further information on their bookings to contact the hotel management to re-confirm."
