Snoozebox confirms plans 2018 World Cup hotel in Russia

UK-based portable hotel accommodation business Snoozebox has confirmed that it is in talks to provide rooms at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The company has signed a preliminary agreement to create the ‘Snoozebox Football Village' in Saransk according to the Moscow Times.

The hotel will have 2,000 rooms and be situated on the shore of the Lukhova reservoir in the city.

In a statement to the City this morning, Snoozebox said: "Snoozebox notes the media speculation regarding its discussions to provide a portable hotel accommodation solution and fanzone for the 2018 World Cup with the host city of Saransk in Russia. The company can confirm a preliminary agreement has been signed and now a feasibility study and further commercial negotiations will take place.

"The company will make further announcements on this project as appropriate."
