Soughton Hall sold to Castlefield Estates off a guide price of £3m

Soughton Hall, a Grade II-listed wedding venue in North Wales, has been sold for an undisclosed sum off a guide price of £3m to Manchester-based developer Castlefield Estates.

The property will add to Castlefield Estates' existing restaurant, wedding and licensed businesses.

The venue was sold by specialist hotel consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), and marks the team's second hotel deal in just over a month, after Nunsmere Hall hotel in Cheshire was sold to Highwater Estates for £5.35m.

Hugh Anderson, divisional director of hospitality and leisure at LSH, said: "Investors are actively looking for opportunities with country house hotels like Soughton and Nunsmere Hall, due to the predictability and buoyancy of the wedding market and we expect this level of demand to continue for the foreseeable future."
