South Place hotel appoints Tony Fleming as executive chef
South Place hotel - the first hotel from D&D London, which is due to open in the City of London in the summer - has appointed Tony Fleming as its executive chef.
After what he described as five "great years" as executive chef at One Aldwych, London, Fleming said he is now ready to move on.
"The time has come for a new challenge and South Place will be just that," he said. "It is set to be a very special hotel and I am very excited to be involved in the opening of what will be an amazing addition to the London hotel scene."
Situated behind Finsbury Circus, the new 80-bedroom boutique hotel will feature interior designs from Conran Holdings, three bars, a gym and wellness centre, five meeting and private dining rooms, and a residents' games room.
Prior to joining One Aldwych, Fleming worked at the Great Eastern Hotel from 2002 to 2007 and before that at Neat, the Criterion and the Oak Room.
