Stoke-on-Trent developers seek hotel operators
Developers in Stoke-on-Trent are looking for operators for two hotels that will form part of a new business quarter.
Manchester-based regeneration company Genr8 has been selected by Stoke City Council to carry out the proposed redevelopment of the centre of Stoke-on-Trent.
The development, which will be phased between 2010 and 2017, will include two hotels, which combined will offer a total of around 250 bedrooms, as well as office and retail space.
Property agent Christie & Co has been instructed to find operators for two hotels, which combined will offer a total of around 250 bedrooms.
Genr8 partner Mike Smith said: "The development will be transformational in terms of its impact on Stoke and the wider area.
"We aim to raise the bar in terms of quality to enable Stoke to compete on a national level. Quality hotel operators are very much part of this agenda."
Jon Patrick, head of leisure & development at Christie & Co, added: "We will be looking to produce opportunities that will be of genuine appeal to the branded hotel sector at both the budget and full service levels."
