Suffolk hotel sold to former pub owners

Former Suffolk publicans Jonathan and Charlotte Nicholson have bought the Carlton Manor hotel in Oulton Broads, Suffolk, from Map Holidays.

The two-storey building in the heart of Carlton Colville has 15 letting bedrooms, a 40-seat restaurant, a bar/restaurant for 30 customers and two function rooms. It also offers a rear patio and lawns and parking space for up to 100 cars.

The Nicholsons, who previously owned the George Inn at Cavendish in Suffolk, plan to double the number of bedrooms.

The Ipswich office of Christie & Co sold the freehold hotel for in excess of the £495,000 asking price.
