Swallow expands in Scotland
Swallow Hotels and Inns is planning a major expansion in Scotland, after it acquired Morangie House at Tain for an undisclosed sum this week.
The acquisition brings its Scottish portfolio to 27 but it is expected this could reach 40 by the end of the year.
Simon Downes, Swallow's sales and marketing director said the company had "a rapid investment plan in Scotland over the next six months."
Swallow has bought six hotels north of the border in the last year, two of which were from MacDonald Hotels.
Swallow is a subsidiary of London and Edinburgh Inns and has 82 hotels in its portfolio.
