Taylormade Hotel Management company launched by industry experts
Taylormade Hotel Management has launched with its first hotel property, the 59-bedroom Hollin Hall Country House hotel near Macclesfield, Cheshire.
The company has been launched by industry veterans Carole Taylor, Tony Biddlecombe and John Maskell to support and develop independent three- and four-star hotels. The group has more than 85 years' experience between them across the hospitality industry.
As well as operating the hotel, the group also owns the hotel, having acquired Hollin Hall from a private company for £2.3m in August.
Taylor has experience in senior financial management positions at Malmaison, De Vere Group and Puma Hotels (now Hotel Collection), while Biddlecombe has worked as a head chef and in revenue and general management roles. Maskell has 28 years' hotel property maintenance and energy efficiency experience, with recent projects including the refurbishment of the Belfry Hotel and Golf Resort in Sutton Coldfield.
Taylor said: "We're incredibly excited to have launched Taylormade Hotel Management and delighted that the first hotel within our portfolio is one that we also have a significant financial interest in. Our strategy will be based upon taking mid- to upper-service independent hotels and using our extensive experience to further develop, improve and grow their hotel operations and profitability.
"This hotel is a hidden gem in Cheshire. We've already updated a lot of public areas and the grounds and have identified some real opportunities to drive the leisure market and local food and beverage such as afternoon tea and Sunday lunch."
